 Although Wicked The Musical is billed as the prequel to the classic 1939 movie 'The Wizard Of Oz', it is actually a little more complex than that.  The story begins before Dorothy and her dog Toto are transported by tornado to the land of Oz and follows the 'wicked witch of the west', Elphaba as she attends the Shiz University where she makes friends with Glinda (known from the movie as the 'Good Witch')  Glinda takes a shine to Elphaba and takes her under her wing but when they discover that the corrupt government in Oz are planning to remove free speech for all animals the pair have a difference of opinion and fall out which forces Elphaba to go into hiding.  What follows takes place before, during, and after the familiar events from the 'Wizard of Oz' with multiple twists and turns that will have you on the edge of your seat until the very end!
